- served on the IAGSDC Executive Committee as Vice Chair, 1987-1988; Chair, 1988-1989
- served as "Stepmother Medallion" of the Medallion Project until 2018, when Keith Gehrig took over the project
Golden Boot Award
In 2003, Andy Shore presented Rick with the Golden Boot Award.
In 2004, Rick presented the award to Ett McAtee.
