• served on the IAGSDC Executive Committee as Vice Chair, 2003-2004; as Chair, 2004-2010<
• convention co-chair of Make Magic & Dance Up A Storm
• served on the advisory board of All Join Hands (Foundation)
• co-created with Brian Smith the database of names on the Memorial Panels following Make Magic in 2001. John later passed on the Memorial Panels project stepmother duties to James Ozanich in 2012.
