From Karl Jaeckel: That club was the brainchild of a woman named Dvorah Dnali in 1995. Her idea was to form a woman’s square dance club apart from Rainbeaus, but it never really got off the ground. She undoubtedly held some beginner lessons, but I don’t know about them. Her big achievement was an all-women’s fly-in held Feb 29 thru Mar 3, 1996. Thursday, Friday and Saturday events were for women only, and then Sunday was open to all. There is some history about Dvorah and her efforts in “The Women’s Corner” review by Gina Robideaux. The article states that this was the second all-women’s fly-in, but I don’t know anything about the first. I don’t know whatever happened to her. She was quite active first with Mile High Squares and then Rainbeaus but disappeared about 1998 (dropped from the Rainbeaus club roster).
