History: Mile High Squares was part of the Colorado Gay Rodeo Association. In addition to regular Modern Western Square Dancing, the club provided an Exhibition Team for various events.
- From the Program Book of the 4th IAGSDC Convention, held in Portland, OR in 1987:
- The Mile High Squares was formed during the winter of 1982, as part of the Colorado Gay Rodeo Association. Under their guidance, we were proud to Promenade Along The Rockies at the 1985 convention of the IAGSDC. The fall of 1985 saw the Mile High Squares emerge as a self-supporting organization separate from the rodeo association.
