Location: College Park, Maryland  USA

Web site:  None.

Started: 1991

Admitted to IAGSDC: 04 Jul 2024 as Associate Member. Ettseteras joined as an Associate Member Club. It took a while to ask to join the IAGSDC organization as a recognized caller-run club but since the club is the premiere gay-friendly C1 club in the Washington DC metro area run by a gay caller, we figured it was time to join!

Status: Active

History: Ettseteras was started due to a need for C1 in the Washington DC metro area when John Marshall moved to Virginia. When that group moved up to the Washington DC area to replace Mike Jacobs' club when he moved to New Jersey, we continued as Ettseteras. We now sport 3 squares if everyone comes out of the woodwork to dance.

Classes: C1, periodically every few years, on first and third Mondays.

Club Caller: Ett McAtee

Other Membership: WASCA (Washington Area Square Dancers Cooperative Association)

Club Level: Challenge 1, first and third Mondays

Dance Location: Knights of Columbus, College Park Maryland

Fly-Ins Hosted:  None.

Conventions Hosted: None.

Fun Facts: The club was named by one of our dancers who saw the list of calls he had to learn and said, "it goes on and on, et. cetera, et. cetera, et. cetera" and so the name was born as a combination of that expression and our caller's own name, Ett and "sets" like in the sets in square dancing, the squares.  Dancers now say they are going to dance at "Ett's" on Mondays! Our name badge is made up of puzzle pieces to represent the dancers in a square. See the picture of the badge. One time, Lee Kopman asked Ett which was the gay couple since he could not piece together the puzzle pieces, and Ett told him that was for him to figure out!  LOL! Our club logo, as seen on the badge, is also our name badge. The "C" represents "challenge level" dancing.
