Remembrances
Sorry to inform you that previous Hotlanta Square member Anne Danner passed away February 24. Anne was the club’s Webmaster for 4 years and made many improvements to our website. She was our PDP 2019 chairperson and created a fly-in manual that we still use to organize PDP. She will be missed. Yellow Rocks
Some of you have gotten the word that Anne Danner, who was an extremely active member of our club for many years, passed away a week ago today. Here's her obituary if you'd like to learn more about Anne, see a photo show her sons put together, write a tribute, and/or light a candle in her honor. If you do look at the photos, there's a video of where Anne entered a twerking contest at a drag show she went to with her son and grandson. She WON! Was the star of the show!
She developed a rare, but aggressive type of cancer and from diagnosis to death was only a few days. Also, right before she died when the cancer had reached her brain and/or she was on so much medicine that she started doing crazy things, my favorite crazy thing she did was that she suddenly LEAPT out of bed and said, "I've gotta get outta here! I have to get to the dance!!!!" I like to think that in her mind, she was on her way to a square dance with all of us.
