Remembrances

It is with great sadness to inform you that our wonderful friend and fellow dancer Tony Cavalli passed away this past Thursday, July 23rd. Tony loved people, dancing, chatting and was a friend to all of us. He brought energy and so much life wherever he went. Ann, Tony's wife asked me to pass this message to all of you.
"Please let Tony's friends at your clubs know. There will be a huge hole in our dance community and our hearts.Tony will be greatly missed by all."
— Sandi

We learned today that Tony's death was not covid-related; as Ann told Gary this morning, "His heart finally gave out. We were together 39 years." The attached pictures, courtesy of Ann and Gary, run the gamut from their wedding to last month; Ann recently discovered that Tony had a nice singing voice, and Sandi took pictures of them doing karaoke together at their home in June.
Several of you have already sent messages expressing your sorrow. If you would like to send condolences directly to Ann, their address is 218 - 29th St, SF 94131.

Ann - I am sending my thoughts to you at this time. I will miss Tony at all of the dances. I know all of us will. He always asked if I needed a partner. He was such a thoughtful person. I enjoyed his little reflections between tips. He told me that he liked to travel and he really enjoyed going to the square dance festivals where people had lots of energy. I will remember those happy times.

Dear Ann-Whenever I saw either of you at any dance event it made me so happy. You are both such wonderful, friendly people and it was always a joy to be with either of you. Tony was my dance partner many times and what a treat it was to dance with or talk with him. When I was a newbie he was always so encouraging and helpful. We will miss him so much and want you to know that we are sending loving and healing energy your way. Much affection, Debbie and Terry
