Biography
Roy is a native of Wichita, KS and a graduate of The Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia has been with Independence Squares since 2016. After a career in opera, he worked in marketing and fundraising with arts organizations in the Delaware Valley. Now retired, he and Larry, his partner/husband of 45 years along with their American Hairless Terriers Margot and Ruby live in the Poconos where Roy continues to perform with area theater companies and volunteers.
Roy performed the role of the Witch in the opera "Hansel and Gretel" over three decades ago and resurrected her for the 2024 Honky Tonk Pageant. That Witch's name was Rosina Daintymouth.
