Remembrances

Pat was the best friend that I’ve ever had. When I first met her, some 26 years ago at a volleyball game, it seemed as though I’d known her all my life. She was such a warm and outgoing person, and I immediately felt comfortable being around her.

Later, I found out that Pat and I shared some of the same sport interests. We enjoyed playing on the same teams in volleyball, softball, and basketball. We competed against each other in horseshoes, where she proved to be an, extremely, tough competitor. She would be kicking my butt while keeping that famous smile on her face!

Pat competed in the National Senior Olympics, and always won the gold medal in her age group. During a match, Pat would, sometimes, give pitching tips to her opponents, and still beat them!

It was a wonderful day when Pat decided to join Chi-Town. She enjoyed the classes, and the people that she met in them. Pat even went on to take the Advanced Class.

While Pat was attending the Toronto Convention, she found a mistake in the convention attendance books. Because of finding this mistake, she received her ten year medallion.

This was Pat’s last convention where she could dance, and move about freely. The following year, Pat was weakened by an illness from which she never recovered. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

Love you always,
— BeeJay[2]
