The Memorial Project was the first iteration of a means to remember dancers who has passed away. Names were being collected and published in the annual IAGSDC convention program, starting in 1988.
Over time, other means of remembrance were introduced, such as the Memorial Tip in 1990, and the Memorial Panel in 1994. In 2001, a database of all the names on badges was created by John Mckinstry and Brian Smith. Currently, the full list of names can be found on the Memorial Panel Names page.
