Galen was in my class. He was a much older guy that became the first official treasurer when we converted from caller-run to a club with a board in May 1984. I do seem to remember him being from Amarillo. He was somewhere in his 60s for the several years he danced with us, I believe he was a vet, and had some serious health issues. I remember something about a daughter taking care of him before he died of liver cancer.
