Started: 1983
Admitted to IAGSDC:
Status: Merged with Puddletown Squares in 1987
History: was the Plus level club of the Puddletown Dancers umbrella
- From the Program Book of the 4th IAGSDC Convention, held in Portland, OR in 1987:
- Seattle's Plus club began in October of 1983 and, under the stern tutelage of Agnes 'Sargent' Smith, graduated its first class in time for the Seattle convention in the spring. Since then six additional classes have been graduated. Following the tradition set by Agnes, most have been taught by our own people, the latest by IAGSDC board member Harlan Kerr. Emerald City Squares originally had no club structure, being run by a consensus of the membership; it is now directed by the new, improved Council of Wizards.
