David Leroy Stevens
28 Jul 1947 - 20 Nov 2010

Biography

Dave's career began at the age of 14 at an amateur callers' night in Sonora, California -- he must have liked the experience for he just celebrated his 25th year in the profession. Once a chemistry major at UC Berkley and Cal State Heyward, Dave has long been a mainstay of the California advanced and Challenge movement, starting his first Advanced class in 1975. According to his wife, Shelly, his "forte within the activity lies in his ability to teach and unlimited patience." July marks a major change in his life when Dave, Shelly and daughters Jennifer and Sara, relocate to Woodville, Washington. Dave will be continuing to teach Plus through C-3 in the Northwest and Canada. And yes, Seattle, they do know about the rain![1]
