Remembrances

Brian started dancing with the club back in 1990s. He brought lots of enthusiasm and everything he did besides dance. He'd been a nurse with Lurie children's hospital since I knew him and in recently transferred up to the Lurie facility closer to his new home in Morton Grove. Brian had a number of interests besides dancing which he wasn't able to do in the later years because of his knees. He loved going to Hawaii enjoying cocktails as the sun set each day. He taught himself and excelled at his glass artwork and produced some magnificent stained glass pieces. Brian was also meticulous in many of the things he did. He loved board games and he collected fiestaware place settings and service dishes. Known to some as that creative b****, Brian could make everything out of anything. He was very resourceful and was always fun to be around. During the years we both could dance in high heels Brian an was an integral part of the Chi-Town SheDevils as Lorraine O'myparade. For too many years to count we met on Friday nights for afterwork cocktails in the Sidetrack glass bar. Brian was truly the life of the party, no matter the situation.
