Obituary

Singer, song-writer, musician Victor Victor died from AIDS-related causes on June 29. He began life as Stephen Victor Curtis in N.Y.C., and lived in San Francisco in the early '80s and from 1992 to 1996. He performed his own music on Long Island, in Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Key West and Branson, Mo.

Victor is survived by the many friends he helped with his presence and his gifts; his twin sister, Pattee Pizzrusso; her husband, Dominic; nephew, Ryan Victor (born 2/29.96); and his father, Robert Curtis, all of Rockville Center, N.Y.

A celebration of Victor's life will be held on August 3 at 3 p.m. at the Metropolitan Community Church/SF, 150 Eureka Street. Donations in Victor's memory may be made to the AIDS Emergency Fund, the NAMES Project, the Godfather Service and the Metropolitan Community Church.

We will miss the laughter, music and truth that Victor brought to the many programs he blessed with his participation. He died as he came to live: clean and sober, gay and proud.[1]
