Feb. 4, 1996, VICTOR A., beloved son of Victor and Josephine (nee Tresidder), dear brother of Joanne Vickers and Debra Oliveti; also survived by 2 nieces, Kristyn Oliveti and Carol Vickers, and a nephew, Paul McGovern. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services Wed. 11 AM at The Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 8201 Frankford Ave. Interment: Sunset Memorial Park. Remembrances

Victor Albright, a quiet, friendly, all around nice guy and square dancer. Victor was a founding member of the Independence Squares and started with the first class in the fall of 1988. He was quiet and unassuming but unafraid to be himself. He attended the first of several IAGSDC conventions beginning with Peel the Apple in New York in July 1989 when the club was accepted into membership. He was proud of being the club historian and, Lord, I wish I had the pictures that he had taken at our events!
Victor was also well known in the country western circuit in Philadelphia and was an avid two-stepper in addition to being a square dancer. Somehow, Victor was always dancing with some of the best-looking men in the clubs. When asked about this, Victor said that he would just ask them as the worst that they could do was say no and most would say yes. This spoke a lot about the kind of person Victor was, unassuming but not afraid to ask for what he wanted. Your positive outlook and presence are still missed.
