Obituary

Tommy passed away October 4, 2006, after a brief battle with liver cancer. Born in Walsenburg, CO, resident of San Francisco for the past 32 years.

Retired from the VAMC, San Francisco, nursing service department.

Loved his trips to Hawaii (Big Island and Maui). Enjoyed Russian Punch Needle work and attending square dances with his partner.

Proud of his 10 year medallion from the IAGSDC for having attended 10 conventions.

Preceded in death by his parents Casimiro and Theodora Valdez; his brothers Joe, Alex, Roy, Marcy; sisters, Lena, Susie and Ernestine.

Survived by loving partner of 35 years Donald Queen; nieces, Karen (Doug) Conry of Pueblo, CO, Dora (Aurellio) Sisneros, Boone, CO; nephew, Edward (Laura) Oliva, Hayward, CA; a large number of other nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews of the Valdez, Quintana, Oliva, Sisneros and Trujillo families; brother-in-law, Larry Queen San Francisco, CA; sister-in-law, Lillian Mills and family, Fresno, CA.

The family would like to especially thank the staff of Sutter VNA Hospice, Daphne, Tamara, Andy, Vilma and Diva for the kind and compassionate care provided Thomas and for their wonderful support during this time in our lives.

Special thanks to Dr. J. Iser who was always there when needed the most.
