Obituary

Thomas “Tom” A. Rygiel, Jr., age 92, of Hampton Township, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Born May 8, 1928 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Bernadine (Gaughan) Rygiel, Sr.

Tom was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Ursula Church.

He is survived by his children, Norberta A. Rygiel, David M. (Lannette) Rygiel, Cynthia R. (Phillip) Scolaro, Barbara J. (James) Allen, Mary L. Rygiel, grandchildren, Matthew (Kim) Rygiel, Michael (Stephanie) Rygiel and Thomas A. Rygiel, IV; and five great grandchildren, Chad, Brianna, Amber, Mason and Quinn Rygiel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anabel Ramsey, who passed away on November 4, 1987 and his son, Thomas A. Rygiel, III.

Tom’s family will welcome friends from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. on Wednesday, April 14 and from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. on Thursday, April 15 at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at St. Ursula Church, 3937 Kirk Avenue in Allison Park, with Father Ernie Strelinski officiating.

He will be laid to rest at Mount Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw.[1]
