Obituary

ELLINGTON, Ronald David, 74, of Largo, FL passed away November 15, 2012 surrounded by love and support at Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park, FL. Ron was born in Roanoke, VA and was raised in Greensboro, NC. He moved to Tampa in 1965 and worked at the Tampa Tribune as a printer for 35 years. Post retirement he worked for the City of Largo Police department as a crossing guard for 10 years. He was able to give of his caring spirit with the Bereaved Parents support group for over 20 years. Ron loved to dance and spending time with his family and friends was his greatest joy. He was preceded in death by his parents J.B. And Lucille, his brother Doyle, son Timothy, and grandaughter Kelli. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Smith; his daughters, Esther and son in-law Keven; Angel, and Michele; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Juanita; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Arlin; his neices and nephews, Craig, Steve, Veronica, Janet, Tracy, and David, his grandchildren Kyle, Kaleb, Monica, Marcia, Kenny, Bianca, Theresa, Valilah, and his 13 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at the Oak Crest clubhouse 9925 Ulmerton Rd. Largo, FL 33771 on December 1, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jacqueline Smith at any Wells Fargo Bank or online. [1]
