Obituary
Gregory P. Friel and Robert H. Adelman
Greg Friel passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 66 on March 17, 2020 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Greg was survived by his partner of 28 years, Robert Adelman. Robert passed away at the age of 77, a mere ten months later on January 21, 2021, also from cancer.
Greg and Robert met in the spring of 1992 at a Russian River Gay/Lesbian Square Dance weekend fly-in and fell in love. They affirmed their love and commitment to each other several times during their life together. They had been registered as Domestic Partners since 1996 until they were finally able to legally marry which they did on August 15, 2008 when California made marriage a reality for LGBTQ couples.
May both of you rest in peace. All of your family and friends will forever miss your warmth and laughter.[1]
