We are sorry to announce the passing of Ray DeFilippo on July 20, 2002. He had been waging a valiant battle against cancer for many years.

He joined Times Squares in 1995, along with his partner of 31 years, Bob Nelson. Both were very active in the club and served as Archangels of a mainstream class.

Ray was the recipient of the Times Squares Peterson Award, for service and dedication to the club. Ray’s contributions were many—he was always ready to help with decorations, serving dinner, co-chairing the Peel Off and Recycle Boutique, or just a welcome word and hug.

Ray’s illness kept him and Bob from Times Squares for the past couple of years. We will miss you, Ray, and we hope to see Bob back in a square real soon.
