Rev. Peter Gray
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of the Rev. Peter Gray on June 3, 2022 at age 83. Peter lived a life of service to others. He touched the lives of many in his role as Episcopal priest, teacher, counselor, advocate for the homeless and devoted friend. After graduating from Princeton University, he served three years as a junior naval office on the carrier Randolph and then attended General Seminary. Following ordination, he served parishes in Indiana, Michigan, and for 26 years, St. Thomas Church in McLean. Peter also served as the assistant director of the McLean Community Center; founded residential and educational centers for homeless children in Michigan; and served as a leader of ACTS and as Fairfax County's Emergency Housing Administrator. Beloved husband of Rick Michaelson; loving brother of Nancy Siebert and Bob Gray (dec) and uncle to Wendy, Kelsey and Caitlin Alexander. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. July 23 at St. Thomas Church McLean. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Thomas would be appreciated. Rest In Peace, Pete - we love you.[1]
