Paul Smith
Paul C. Smith, 50, died Thursday.

He was born July 24, 1948, in Fairbury, Neb. A system analyst for a utility company, he was a member of National Gay Rodeo Association, Golden Rainbow, Southern Nevada Association of Pride Inc. and a 10-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his companion, Gary Mendyka of Las Vegas; sisters, Penny Smith-Kiss of Beaver Island, Mich., and Patricia Smith-Fowler of North Hollywood, Calif.; and a brother, Peter of Chemsford, Mass.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary-Eastern. The family requests memorial donations be made to Golden Rainbow or the American Cancer Society.
