Remembrances
Paul,
You were a great guy and a great friend. From the day I met you and David at a cross-country ski weekend years ago, I remember you being warm, friendly, and sincere.
You were also the hostess with the mostest! Even though I didn't know most of the people at your parties, I always had a fun time.
I will always remember you being there for me during my time of need a few years ago. You were there to listen to me and hear me cry.
I have so many great memories of you and I miss you so much. Rest in peace.
— Jerome Nguyen
I have known Paul since he was a young man
he was the kindest and sweetest person I have ever known my heart breaks - I am quite a few years older than Paul but any time I spoke to him over the years he always was the gentleman and gave me time of day. Love you Paul May you rest in peace.

Lempi Pauli
Sä olit mun poikaystävä vuodesta 1996-2000 ja luulin susta aina v. 2000 jälkeen. Sä oot ja olit aina mielissäni. Sydämeni itkee. Rakastin sua, Pauli.

With prayers, lit candles and love. Know that a mother's love is unconditional and eternal.

I'm deeply saddened and dismayed by the passing of Paul Kivisto!
I'm already missing his quirky sense of humor, and his wild creativity and ingenuity.
Paul was a reviving force as committee member and Chair for our square dance club's fly-in, instilling it with much pizzazz and colour. He offered many hours of his time, his creative flair and dedication to detail, making sure it came off successfully and was made memorable.
It was a treat to welcome Paul as a Triangle Tart, and watch him embrace tacky-drag in his own inimitable fashion(s)!
Paul's other-worldly outfits at Hallowe'en and Pride Parade were inspiring and awesome.
We've all been touched by Paul's generosity of spirit and kindliness, and this earth's loss will be the universe's gain.
