Remembrances
We received a phone call today from Jed Davies that his husband and partner of 65 years, Merle Adams, passed away two weeks ago today. As is their wish, there is no memorial service planned.
Merle was a member of Diablo Dancers until the mid-2000's, when his health prevented him from continuing with square dancing. Here's a picture of Merle (on the right) and Jed (on the left) at The Cove on Castro Street, where they had lunch almost every day.

I remember Merle as a very sweet, very nervous man who would dance with us for a while and then disappear for long periods.

I am so saddened to hear the news of Merle's passing. I remember Merle fondly when I was new to Square Dancing. I admired his determination and always upbeat nature. Merle was a generous and warm person and we are all better people for having known him. My sincere condolences and Yellow Rocks to Jed. R. I. P. Merle until we can square up again.

So sorry to hear of Merle's passing. He did a Lott of good things for Diablo Dancers! Merle was a Prince of a Fella!
