Legally Married Tip

In July 2005 Canada became the fourth country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage.

In 2008 some states in the United States began to legalize same-sex marriage. By 2013 same-sex marriage was legal throughout the United States.

a) Same-sex marriage in California has been legal since June 28, 2013.
b) On June 26, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down all state bans on same-sex marriage, legalized it in all fifty states, and required states to honor out-of-state same-sex marriage licenses in the case Obergefell v. Hodges.

It appears that the first Legally Married Tip took place at DC Diamond Circulate in 2009. The tip has been held at several conventions since then.
