Jon Patrick Rollins, 43
Jon Patrick Rollins, 43, of Palm Springs died Dec. 6, 1997, at Haven Hospice in Palm Springs of complications from AIDS.

He was born March 13, 1954, to Patricia Cheatham Rollins and John H. Rollins in Little Rock, Ark.

Mr. Rollins was a graduate of Henderson State University in Arkansas and received a master's degree from Manhattan School of Music.

He was a tenor soloist with the Pan Am Chorus Angelorum, served as musical director and conductor for the Portland Gay Men's Chorus in Oregon for three years, was a music associate at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York for three years, and served as director of music for St. Francis Lutheran Church in San Francisco.

Mr. Rollins was a founding member of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, a member of the American Guild of Organists and was active with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus.

Survivors include his father, John H. Rollins of Little Rock; two aunts, Helen Seward and Faye Rolins, both of Little Rock; and his friend, Trey Hunt of Palm Springs.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Rollins.

Memorial services will be held at St. Francis Lutheran Church in San Francisco and Henderson United Methodist Church in Little Rock.[1]
