Obituary

MOORE, John Morgan — A true gentleman passed away suddenky on January 10, 2000 in Oakland. He was born and raised in San Francisco and attended St. Ignatius High School and the University of San Francisco, as well as USF Law School. He is survived by his two sisters, Nancy Wegener and Rosemary Mealey; also nieces Judy Wegener Hughes and Wendy Hand; and nephews David Mealey, Michael Wegener, and Mark Wegener. He was great uncle to Melissa and Christine Hand; Will and Jack Wegener, and Allie and Bailey Wegener. He spent most of his work life as a librarian at the San Francisco Law Library. Johnny, as he was fondly called, lived life to the fullest; a lover of family, friends, fine food and wine, theater, square dancing, and deep philosophical and political discussion. He had many friends in the United States as well as in Europe.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2000 at 1;00pm at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco with a reception following at USF. He will be truly missed by both friends and family. Remembrances may be made in John's name to the American Heart Association. Johnny, may your travels be met with the warmth, laughter, and love you left behind.
