Remembrances

JOHN ALLEN GLASSCOCK, 41
Generally a quiet and thoughtful person, John Glasscock sometimes provided a wonderful contrast for those who knew him well.

"I will miss most his insane laugh," says friend Timothy Grendon. "He was a quiet person, but exuberant in his sense of humor."

Glasscock graduated from the UW with a drma degree. Acting stints included appearances in Skid Road Theater lunchtime productions. "He was a wonderful villain in the Perils of Pauline." Grendon remembers.

He also became interested in dance and was a founding member of Seattle's Rick Hite Dance Company. "He was a hard worker and a great comic. He had something special," Grendon says.

Glasscock later became a mortgage banker. He was diagnosed with AIDS in December 1986, and died Feb. 3, 1988.[2]
