Hugh Hayes
Capital City Squares dancer Hugh Hayes died in January at his home in Stockton at the age of 35. He was a member of the Stockton Corral of Westerners and served on the board of the San Francisco Symphony.
A native of Stockton, Hugh attended San Joaquin Delta College and San Francisco State. He was a vestry at St. John's Episcopal Church in Stockton and worked for 10 years in the banking industry. His great love for food, however, had recently inspired him to switch careers, and he was taking courses to be a chef at the time he became ill.
Memorial remembrances may be made to the San Joaquin AIDS Foundation, 4410 N. Pershing ave., Suite C-6, Stockton, CA 95207.[2]
