Gary Lee West
A memorial service for Gary Lee West of Northeast Portland, a former credit consultant for US West Communications, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

He died of pneumonia Thursday in a Portland hospital at the age of 38.

Born Nov. 11, 1952, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he had lived in the Portland area since the mid-1970s. Mr. West worked for US West Communications for about 13 years and also was a resource facilitator for the company.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Baker of Eugene; sister, Vickie S. Norris of Petersburg, Alaska; and brother, Michael K. of Springfield. His stepfather, Joseph Baker, and his sister, Sheri Jill West, preceded him in death.

Disposition was by cremation.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. ^[1]
