Obituary
Surrounded by family and friends, Frank E. Jones passed away on Sunday, May 12, at 7:35pm. Frank was 35 years old. His passing as comforted by the company of his loving family and friends. Frank is survived by his mother Evelyn Jones of Seattle; his father Donald from Phoenix; his brother Larry, sister-in-law Judy from Las ; and brother Donald of Arkansas.
Frank's interest in all types of western dancing kept him constantly busy and won him many friends. He was heavily involved with Puddletown Squares, Cascade Cloggers, and Fistful of Crinoline. He wanted to learn every kind of dance and was accomplished in all. Frank helped open the Timberline and, when not dancing there, worked behind the bar where his energy and humor earned him the respect of employees and customers alike.
Frank loved to have fun, and accepted those around him as they were. It wasn't Frank's nature to judge others or try to change them. During his last few months, Frank delighted in entertaining his doctors, attendants and friends, and refused to let anyone get sad about his illness. This was very important to him and his feisty sense of humor continued into the last hours of his life.
More than anything, Frank wanted to be remembered with "smiles — not tears." A celebration of Frank's life will be held at Timberline on Saturday May 18 at 1pm. All family, friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.[1]
