Obituary

SQUIRES—Dorothy "Dottie" Squires, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, passed away September 20, 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Squires of San Diego, CA; sisters, Lucy Buser of Florida, Lorraine Rippe of California, and Margaret Martin of Connecticut; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws; and a brother-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and too many special friends to name.

Dorothy was preceeded in death by her husband of 51 years, Raymond E. Squires and son, Donald R. Squires; four brothers; and one sister.

She was born June 30, 1922 in Hartford, CT. She attended Bulkeley High School. She worked as an assembler for Veeder-Root in Hartford, and as a microscopist for 19 years at LANL in Los Alamos, NM. She was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, and loved gardening. She displayed her love to friends and family through her food and flowers. She enjoyed dancing with several square dance clubs.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 10326 Camino del Oso, NE, Albuquerque, NM (one block off of Morris and Osuna NE). All are welcome from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
