Obituary
Robert George Yeargan, beloved Army husband and friend too many...passed away peacefully January 12, 2024, at home in Palm Springs, CA. Born May 15, 1942, in Arkansas, KS, lived most of his life as he would say home is where the Army sends you, then ten years in Austin, TX, and the last years spent in retirement in Palm Springs, CA. His last tour (two tours of Viet Nam), after 20 years a retired lieutenant colonel was at the Pentagon in Washington, DC where he met Christopher [Nance]. Bob always had love for his family: mother Lorene Yeargan and father Gordon Yeargan both deceased, brother Richard deceased, ex-wife Phyllis Yeargan of 23 years Army nurse survives, brother's wife Jerri Yeargan still survives, and current husband Christopher Nance survives of 31 years. Though our hearts ache with grief at his passing, we find solace in memories shared with Bob. the legacy he leaves for us of love, compassion, and honor. St. Paul's and the Hermit in Palm Springs, CA, a memorial service May 21, 2024, in the morning and later in the afternoon with full honors burial Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
