Obituary

BOOTH, Robert (Bob)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Bob on Sunday, December 4 at the age of 69. Bob will be remembered fondly by many for his zest for life and his immense kindness. He built strong connections with friends and family, and with his church community. Whether singing in the Sunday choir, helping to organize the Christmas bazaar, playing Euchre, or participating in the talent shows, Bob was a friend to everyone he met and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Survived by his younger brothers, Barry (Loraine) and Darcy (N'Nato), niece Yama and nephew Ousman, and his Uncle Ken and Aunt Sylvia. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17 at 11 a.m. at Carleton Memorial United Church, 740 Melfa Cres. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted to the church in memory of Bob.[1]

Remembrances

Bob Booth was one of the members of the original Date Squares. Around 2014 he started again with us and also danced with many other clubs and at open dances. He attended the 2016 IAGSDC convention in Toronto. Bob is on the right of the top row in the photo of Ottawa Date Squares at Maple Leafs Regroup.

Bob was always full of spunk and dramatic reaction. He was always blushing at my jokes, loved being teased and trying to get me to only dance with my partner. He will be sorely missed. Hugs.
