Remembrances

My fondest memories of Arthur was partnering with him for A2/C1 class. After our Thursday class we would head off to Ty's for a beer or two and then he would drive me home right to my front door. We did this for three years until neuropathy made it unsafe for him to drive anymore. He continued dancing with Motiv8tors for about a year until the condition interfered with his balance so could not dance anymore. Art was very kind man possessing a good sense of humor. The years we were dancing I know he was selflessly also tutoring Monmouth County community college students. That he continued to dance and tutor until his eighties is a testament to his zeal for living.

Art was always a gentleman - on the square dance floor and off. He was really kind to Sherry and me when we'd bring Lucy to dances. He even bought her gifts - some books that were among her favorites when she was little. He always made us all feel welcome and he was a pleasure to dance with, too!
