Obituary
HYATT — Alfred Hood, died peacefully in New York Aug. 26. Beloved son of Pearl Hyatt Parris. Loving brother of Sally Zirkle. Devoted uncle of Edward, Carl and Matthew Zirkle and Debbie and Bobbie Parris. Memorial service will be held on Fri., Aug. 29 at 3 p.m. in New York at the United Nations Chapel, 777 U.N. Plaza. An endowment will be established in his memory toward the advancement of education in the Visual Arts; contributions or inquiries can be received in the name of Alfred Hood Hyatt Memorial Fund, c/o D. Fischer, 29 W. 75th St., NY, NY 10023.[1]
ALFRED H. HYATT, of New York, formerly of Asbury Park, died Tuesday at New York University Medical Center.
Mr. Hyatt was a self-employed architect.
He was a graduate of Asbury Park High School and graduated from Cornell University in 1966 and from Princeton University in 1977.
From 1968 until 1970, Mr. Hyatt served with the Peace Corps in Peru. He also was a member of the Harvard-Cornell Archaeological expedition to Sardis, Turkey.
Born in Pennsylvania, he lived in Asbury Park for many years before moving to New York.
Surviving are his mother, Pearl Hyatt, Pittsburgh, and a sister, Sally Zirkle, Ridgewood.
Redden Funeral Home, New York, is in charge of arrangements.[2]
